The day before the play!

Tomorrow is a big day for me and my summer program kids. It is the day of our production of "Peter Pan"! I have been working on this along with a few of the other staff members for two months! I made a few items along with the help of my drama kids for some special people, who have put a lot of time and effort into this play. I am glad it will be over tomorrow! It was a lot of hard work! I will post pictures of the play tomorrow! We have to preform twice. Wish me luck!

Yup...Turkey Meatballs! YUM!

Another delite! YUMMY spaghetti with turkey meatballs was what was on my plate today for dinner. I have to say I have never had meatballs in my pasta before. It was sure tasty! It had a lot of flavor! I love turkey to begin with, it is way healthier than beef and I think it has a better taste to it. I made my meatballs crispy, which even added more flavor to it! Mark loved it. Having meatballs in his pasta, was definitely not a first for him! He had three helpings! Try it out HERE. Oh before I forget my sister Melissa tried the tomato and olive penne dish and loved it!

My absent blog!

Sorry readers for my absent blogs! What few readers I do have! HA! I am down to my last week for the Summer program and my co-worker Cris and I have been busy non-stop putting on our play production of "Peter Pan"! We have been busy making our costumes and props! Anyways we were lucky to have a break today while the kids got a visit from a lady and her puppet!

I really enjoyed it! It reminded me of my Dad and his puppet shows he would do for us kids! He had all the Sesame Street character's! I loved his Grover impersonation! It was awesome! What a fun childhood memory! Thank you Dad for making puppets magical for me!

Pizza therapy...

No... I did not make the pizza. However I did bake it! Gotta love Papa Murphy's! Yeah... not gonna lie, I am having one of those lazy days. You know those days when you walk through the door and see that your house is looking a little frumpy from UN vacuumed floors, newspapers everywhere and the kitchen is OK but needs a little TLC a.k.a. some cleaning love! HA! Yeah... I am having one of those days! Oh joy!

No picky eaters in my house!

I have to say, I am blessed that I have a husband who is not picky about food! He does give me his opinions though, which I am glad he does! It sure helps me make a recipe better! I made this lovely pasta for dinner and it was yummy! It reminds me of the many flavors of Italian food! Get a crusty bread to go along with it and it is wonderful!

If you would love the recipe click HERE and you will enjoy the wonderful flavors!

Happy monsoon season!

Diners, Drive-ins and Dives

Mark and I love the food network channel and one of our favorite show is Diners, Drive-ins and Dives with Guy Fieri. He goes to all the fun little mom and pop diners around the USA. While watching it one night with Mark we saw this restaurant that is located in Gilbert. So Mark and I went there yesterday and I got the BBQ chicken pizza! It was so tasty! It had feta, mozzarella, spices and grilled onions along the side of smokey chicken chunks! Fantastic! A very delightful surprise to my palette! It was so good!
The fun part about this restaurant is that it is located on the farm that produces the fresh ingredients that goes in your food that you buy at the restaurant. So Mark and I got to walk around and look at the beautiful gardens! So much fun!

Yes... another D-BACKS game!

We do like going to D-backs games! Yesterdays game was a blast even though they did not win. They played against the San Diego, Padres and the D-backs played pretty badly! We entertained ourselves through the sad score!

Household Maintenance...OH JOY!

I have my in laws coming tomorrow and that means cleaning.I have been a little behind with my daily tasks. I HATE dishes! Yes... Mom I still do! I always put it off until the last minute! I do not mind messing it up, but I quickly disappear when it is time to clean up and try to dream them away. It never works! Oh the joys of the everyday household maintenance!

Side note- Sorry to post the all glorious blog of cleaning but that is what I did today. You all can relish in the fact that I suffer along the side of the many other women who keep up with the household maintenance. Thank goodness for all us Superwomen! HA!

Mopped my heart out!

With the finished product!

With more to do behind door # 1!
