My Dad's Birthday and my little shop!

First I would love to wish my Dad a very Happy Birthday! He is a great Dad and I am lucky to have him in my life! XoXo I love you!

Secondly I just recently opened a little shop on Etsy. My inspiration came from making my Halloween garland. I have had two purchases since I opened on the 13th of September. It has been so much fun! You can see my little shop by clicking on the Link HERE! Here are a couple of the items I have made.

Be jealous...of my moustache and my...

Alright my good friend from work knew I was having a couple of bad days at work and yesterday she gave me a pretty wrapped up box with these bad boys inside. She said that these special glasses would cure any bad day. She said she actually wears a pair of these when stuck in traffic. She cracks me up! She is goofy like me! Anywho, I did wear them that day at work and the kids were jealous. They all wanted a pair as well. They said I had a big nose and that my moustache was going in my mouth. I knew I looked like a dork but I didn't care! Anyone who really knows me, knows that I have been a little dorky all my life! HA! You should be jealous! HA!

A Great Place!

I finally found a place for my letter G. After getting it for a measly $3.oo at Kohl's, six months ago. I have found the right place. I do love the lettering decorations. I am sure a couple of years from now it will be out of style and it will be time to remove it. HA! Who knows! I do enjoy it now!

I know it is early...

but I promised myself that I would get into the holidays this year. Last year Mark and I did not even put up a tree for Christmas. I said to myself "Wow...the holidays came and went so fast"(quoting myself). I miss how the holidays felt as a kid and so I am preparing my house early for each holiday. Since the next holiday is Halloween, I made this Halloween garland yesterday. I went to Micheal's and got some paper and ribbon for $2.00 and I was set. You could buy garland for $6.99 (Martha Stewart brand), not me! HA! Here are some pictures of my inspiration (aka Martha Stewart's).

$6.99 each

I do like mine! $2.00!

More to come!

Lake Powell (this lake is huge)

Yup... Lake Powell is where Mark and I went. It was my first time and I was ready! Jack (father in-law) has been going for years along with the Grimm family and now it was now my turn to experience the great lake myself.
I must say I do have a need for speed! HA!

Captain Jack getting a well deserved break.

I love how we stop and explored places. We got to swim through here and it was beautiful. Had some friends there (Farnsworths). Very sweet! Nice boat Joe! The water shinning on the lake was so pretty. I do love sun-sets! This place is called Rainbow Bridge and it is one of the seven wonders in the world. I would say it is pretty amazing. You can only get to it by boat. It was founded in 1910 by indians and is still standing tall. When the water levels are at its highest, water flows through it. Mark and I had to go on a trail to get to it. It was worth it! Joe told us there is also a dinosaur foot print over there but we did not see it. We did a lot of baking in the sun. I got a nice sun tan and also a burn on my shoulders. It seems like no matter how much sun screen I put on, I still end up with a sunburn somewhere. OK... so my trip was not all peaches and cream... The last night we were there Mark and I got rained out of our tent and all of our stuff got wet. There was a big wind storm along with rain and it broke our tent. We ended up sleeping in Jacks tent (which is a one man tent) and let me tell ya, it was tight. Just imagine Jack, Mark and I along with all our belongings in a one man tent. However I did sleep from the lack of sleep from the nights before. You ask and so did everyone else, would I go again? Yes... I loved the beauty and the adventure. Mark and I had fun. I did miss my bed though!

A good laugh for the day.

Trip Part 1 (On the road)....

A beautiful car ride!
Courtney by my side!

Passed through Flagstaff where Mark and I went to school and lived for 2 and a half years. I sure do miss the pine tree's.

Mark and I have had a busy week! I am exhausted! I had my birthday (pictures to come) and Mark and I got to go on a mini vacation trip. You will get to see where tomorrow! I know the suspense is killing you! HA!
